Control circuit for dimming and color mixing
Boca Flasher has been awarded US patent 7,088,059 entitled "Modulated Control Circuit and Method for Current-Limited Dimming and Color Mixing of Display and Illumination Systems." The patent describes a control circuit for a lighting system that allows analog control over a range of illumination intensities in which the source intensity varies in proportion to the voltage level of the control signal. The circuit provides for improved dimming and color mixing capability by allowing pulse width or frequency modulation control in addition to analog control over a second range of illumination intensities.

Marion School Project Executive Summary
The main design intention for the lighting of St-François theatre’s lobby is to provide a visual transition between the brighter outside and entry spaces and the darker house of the theatre. Because the lobby is also used as a café, the illuminance levels will remain sufficient to allow reading and writing activities at anytime. A warm and relaxing ambience will be created with MR-16 halogen lamps placed in recessed downlight fixture DL13 Adjustable Topper from Lucifer lighting company. 16 of them will be installed in four zones along the lobby. Colour changing LED strips CCS100 (12’’) from BOCA flasher in polycarbonate tubes will be strategically placed for additional accent lighting washing the walls. With the Boca Flasher’s colour wash controller (CWC060) an infinite possibility of colours will produce different moods for the lobby. Electric lighting won’t be necessary during the day and BB lighting solution recommends to retain the glazing on the east and west façades, as well as the ceiling height that both favour an even and comfortable light distribution. BB lighting solution suggests however the addition of a profiled overhang for the roof, in order to reduce the illuminance near the entrance of the house of the theatre.
